Overview

VestiPOS is optimised to be used with supported Star Micronics printers.

Configure your printer in the VestiPOS App

Follow the Getting Started guide supplied with your printer to set it up. You will then need to configure it within your VestiPOS iPad app using the steps below.

USB/Bluetooth Printers - Ensure the printer is connected to your iPad before proceeding.

Ethernet/Wi-Fi Printers - Ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your iPad before proceeding.

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on, has paper and is connected to your iPad (USB & BT printers) or router (Ethernet & WiFi printers)
  2. Navigate to Menu -> Printer Setup
  3. Tap the Add Printer button
  4. Enter a descriptive name for the location of your printer (e.g. Front Bar Printer)
  5. Tap the Address row
  6. The iPad will now discover any printers connected to your iPad and your network. Once it has discovered your printer, select it. A tick will appear next to the printer once selected.

If no printers are found, please ensure the printer is powered on and connected. Please see our troubleshooting guide for common troubleshooting tips.

  7. Tap the < Printer Setup button
  8. Optionally, set the following fields as required:

Open Cash Drawer - If there is a cash drawer connected to the printer which you want to automatically open when cash transactions are processed then enable this option.

Ring Buzzer - If there is a buzzer connected to the printer enable this option. This is useful for a kitchen environment where you require an audible alert each time order slips are printed.

Receipt Copies - Set this to the number of receipts this printer should print. If this is a receipt printer, then this would normally be set to 1. If it is a kitchen/order printer which isn't used for customer receipts then set it to 0.

Order Slip Copies - Set if you wish to print Order Slips to this printer, otherwise leave as 0. For example, if this is a kitchen printer and you wish to print orders to it, set it to the number of copies to send.

Order Stage Copies - Set this to 1 if you wish to print Mains Away dockets to this printer. If you do not use Sale Stage functionality then leave this as 0.

  9. Tap the Save button
  10. Congratulations, your printer is now configured
